Hollywood Heritage and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Present: The Lady From The Black Lagoon - Hollywood Monsters & The Lost Legacy of Milicent Patrick

On Wednesday, March 11th at 7:30PM Hollywood Heritage and The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will welcome author Mallory O'Meara as we celebrate Women's History Month by uncovering the previously untold story of Milicent Patrick.

Patrick was one of Disneys first female animators and is the only woman to create one of Hollywood's classic movie monsters: The Creature From the Black Lagoon. O'Meara will discuss her research into Patrick's amazing career, the resulting book ("The Lady From the Black Lagoon") along with her own challenges as a Producer in Hollywood. Copies of the book will be for sale in our shop and the author has graciously agreed to sign them for our guests.

In addition, we'll be revealing an exciting new acquisition in our collection - an original costume piece from the 1954 production of "Creature From The Black Lagoon".

Refreshments will be available for purchase on the front deck before the show, so come early and come hungry! See you at The Barn!
