Whether you know her as the Grammy-nominated vocalist of the 1962 international million-selling hit single “Love Letters” or as “Hester Sue Terhune” on TV’s Little House on The Prairie, the “Theatre World” Award-winning actress of the cult classic Blacula and House Party 3 recounts her journey from the stage of the fabled “Purple Onion” nightclub in San Francisco to her reinvention in Hollywood as “The First Lady of Love Letters” for one night only; in honor of African American History Month.
Join us as we celebrate the legacy of a living legend at 87 commemorate the 60th anniversary of “Love Letters” with stories from the stage of the Apollo Theater in Harlem to touring the UK with The Everly Brothers. From Billie Holiday to Michael Landon, Duke Ellington to Sammy Davis, Jr., Maya Angelou to Katherine MacGregor: Ketty has backstage stories to tell and a lifetime in the spotlight to share.
