Step back to a wondrous time when neon signs illuminated the glamorous streets of Hollywood and every cocktail was served up with a napkin featuring fun, fabulous graphics! Join authors KATHY KIKKERT (Hollywood Signs: The Golden Age of Glittering Graphics and Glowing Neon) and PATRICK QUINN (Bar Keeps: A Collection of California’s Best Cocktail Napkins) for a dazzling Hollywood show-and-tell celebrating the night spots featured in the exhibit “Out with the Stars!” As a nightcap, books will be available for signing!

Graphic designer/illustrator KATHY KIKKERT has lived in Los Angeles for over two decades. Her retro-modern flair is expressed in the books, restaurant brands, and signs that she has designed. Originally from back east, she has a BA in Art History (NYU) and designed and art directed books at Simon and Schuster and Doubleday. She regularly hits the road with friends to visit flea markets and photograph vintage neon signs far and wide.

A longtime Angeleno, Patrick Quinn is a production designer at Universal Studios. He visits swap meets and antique malls, adding to his ever-growing collections of lounge music LPs, 1970s snapshots, Western Union telegrams, early travel guides, and, of course, cocktail napkins.
