DEMILLE, LASKY, THE BARN AND PARAMOUNT: A FILM SERIES CELEBRATING THE HOLLYWOOD HERITAGE MUSEUM’S 40TH ANNIVERSARY PRESENTED BY THE SILENT SOCIETY!

Join Hollywood Heritage as it celebrates the 40th year of the Hollywood Heritage Museum (also known as the Lasky/DeMille Barn), Hollywood’s oldest silent film studio which was the birthplace of Paramount Pictures and the studio where the film careers of Cecil B. DeMille and Jesse Lasky began. Surrounded by a new exhibit of artifacts highlighting the history of the building, DeMille, Paramount, early Hollywood and the organization that has preserved and maintained this historic landmark, you’ll rediscover the silent films that DeMille and Paramount produced during the early silent era, featuring iconic stars of the period, and presented with live musical accompaniment by Michael Mortilla.

All films presented were produced when Paramount Studios were located at Sunset and Vine and “the Barn” was still on the corner of Vine…
